Jennifer Pears advises public and private companies across a broad range of corporate, commercial and energy sector matters. With over 15 years’ experience, Jennifer has developed extensive expertise in project development, complex commercial transactions, corporate governance and strategic legal advice.
Jennifer commenced her career in private practice, providing corporate and commercial advice for numerous ASX-listed companies in the mining and resources sector. More recently, as Senior Legal Counsel for a WA-based ASX-listed energy company, Jennifer advised across all aspects of the exploration, development and production of oil and gas assets, and the development of an 85MW gas peaking power station in the Perth Basin.
Her experience includes advising on:
- supply and construction agreements;
- drilling rig services (and associated well services) agreements;
- gas transportation agreements;
- network access and connection works agreements;
- farm-in and joint venture agreements; and
- petroleum licensing and regulatory compliance.
Jennifer is recognised for providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice that enables businesses to achieve their strategic objectives while effectively managing legal and regulatory risk.
