James' energy experience includes drafting and negotiating key contracts underpinning power, oil and gas projects, including power purchase agreements, gas and LNG supply contracts, joint operating agreements, gas transportation agreements and network access contracts (SWIS and NWIS).
James has particular expertise in Australian onshore and offshore energy projects, and assists clients on a range of issues such as asset acquisitions and disposals, farm-in arrangements, project development, the wholesale electricity market, gas and electricity retail issues, REC supply agreements, shipper contracts, renewables and climate change.
James has repeatedly been recognised by legal directories as a leading lawyer in the areas of Energy and Resources (Oil & Gas and Utilities).
